The 2016 Built Ford Tough Series will kick off in the Windy City, playing Chicago’s Allstate Arena on Saturday and Sunday, Jan. 9-10.Â
On Jan. 15-17, the tour will celebrate its 10th anniversary in New York City at Madison Square Garden. New York will be the first PBR Major of the 2016 BFTS and an opportunity for one talented PBR star to separate himself from the pack with the bonus points and extra prize money that comes with winning a Major.
The other Majors in 2016 include the Iron Cowboy taking place at AT&T Stadium, the home of the Dallas Cowboys, on Saturday, Feb. 27; the Last Cowboy Standing, part of the PBR’ s Cowboy Spring Break festivities in Las Vegas on May 13-14; and the Jack Daniel’s Music City Knock Out, scheduled for Aug. 19-20 at Bridgestone Arena.
Tickets for the Iron Cowboy went on sale on Friday, Aug. 28. Great seats are still available on Ticketmaster.com, at the AT&T Stadium Box Office or by calling 800 745 3000.
A return to fan favorite events in Anaheim, California, at the Honda Center; Sacramento, California, at the Sleep Train Arena; Oklahoma City at the Chesapeake Energy Arena; St. Louis, Missouri, at Scottrade Center; Kansas City, Missouri, at the Sprint Center; and in Tulsa, Oklahoma at the BOK Center are also on the schedule. The Pit in Albuquerque; the Ford Idaho Center in Nampa, Idaho; and Rimrock Auto Arena in Billings, Montana, – the oldest regular season BFTS event at 22 consecutive years – will host the BFTS in 2016, as well.
WinStar World Casino and Resort in Thackerville, Oklahoma, will once again present its popular outdoor event on Sept. 3-4; and JQH Arena in Springfield, Missouri, will hold the three-day PFI Invitational on Sept. 9-11.
South Dakota’s fans can celebrate the PBR’s return to Sioux Falls in 2016 on April 1-2, after a successful, sold-out debut at the Denny Sanford PREMIER Center in 2015.
After a year break, the toughest men on dirt will stop in Duluth, Georgia, at the Infinite Energy Arena on March 12-13 and play Verizon Arena in Little Rock, Arkansas, on April 30 – May 1. The BFTS’ last visit to Little Rock was in 2003.
The season-ending Built Ford Tough World Finals will be making its debut at the new Las Vegas Arena on Nov. 2-6, 2016, with tickets going on sale Monday, Oct. 26, the day following the 2015 PBR World Finals.
“The PBR’s Built Ford Tough Series is the premier bull riding circuit in the country with only 26 regular season events each year,†PBR CEO Sean Gleason said. “Therefore, when the BFTS visits a particular market, it’s a very special occasion.
“In 2016 the PBR will revisit cities which have shown fantastic support for the sport year after year, and return to old favorites in the south and east to give our fans across the country a chance to enjoy the toughest sport on dirt live and in person.â€
